Sri Lankan Delegation Arrives for Inaugural Session of the Commonwealth Asia Regional Youth Alliance (CAYA) and Asia Youth Minister’s Meeting in Islamabad

A five member delegation headed by Hon. Sunil Kumara Gamage, Minister of Youth Affairs & Sports arrived Islamabad on 27th January 2025 to attend the Inaugural session of the Commonwealth Asia Youth Alliance (CAYA) Summit and Asia Youth Minister’s Meeting  which is scheduled to be held from 28th-30th January 2025 in Islamabad, Pakistan. Other members of the delegation include Mr. Dinesha Vidanagamachch, Additional Secretary, Ministry of Youth affairs and Sports, CAYA Chair and youth Delegates Mr. Mohamed Sajith Ifas, & Ms. M. Sanjana Madhubhashini Dias.

 

Mr.A.Christy Ruban, Acting High Commissioner and Brigadier Kaminda Silva, Defence Advisor of Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad along with officials of the Pakistan Prime Minister’s office welcomed the delegation at the Islamabad International Air Port.

Ministers and Young Leaders from over 13 countries will participate in the Summit which focus on global challenges, environmental issues, digital transformation, and new approaches to social and economic inclusion.

Also the summit will feature several discussion sessions, including a Capacity Building session on Climate Action, as well as a session focused on Leadership, Stakeholder Management, and Resource Mobilization.
