The 8th  Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise Culminates Successfully

The 8th  edition of the Pakistan Army Team Spirit (PATS) Exercise-2025 concluded on 18 Friday April 2025 at Kharian Garrison, with Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff (COAS), General Syed Asim Munir NI(M), gracing the closing ceremony as the chief guest. Brigadier Kaminda Silva RSP USP psc, Minister Counsellor (Defence) at the Sri Lankan High Commission in Islamabad, represented the country during the closing ceremony.

Demonstrating exceptional skill and resilience participating Sri Lanka Army team secured the Silver Medal in the highly competitive international event.

PATS is a mission-specific, task-oriented professional military exercise that tests the limits of physical endurance, mental resilience, and professional expertise of troops operating under near-real combat conditions.

The exercise was a rigorous 60-hour-long military patrolling challenge aimed at enhancing multinational military cooperation in a complex global security environment and teams and observers from 20 friendly nations participated at the competition. Participating countries included Pakistan, Bahrain, Belarus, China, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Maldives, Morocco, Nepal, Qatar, Sri Lanka, Türkiye, the United States, and Uzbekistan whilst observers were present from Bangladesh, Egypt, Germany, Indonesia, Kenya, Myanmar, South Africa, and Thailand.
