H.E. the High Commissioner meets with Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director, Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF)
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram, Executive Director of the Pakistan Research Center for a Community with Shared Future (PRCCSF), visited the High Commission of Sri Lanka and met with Admiral Ravindra C. Wijegunaratne (Retd), High Commissioner of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka to Pakistan.
The meeting focused on the concept of a community with a shared future and the enhancement of bilateral relations between Pakistan and Sri Lanka. They underscored the importance of strengthening collaborations in research, culture, and the heritage of the Gandhara civilization, acknowledging its historical and cultural significance to both nations. Both Mr. Akram and High Commissioner Wijegunaratne recognized the crucial role these initiatives play in fortifying the relationship between their countries.
Mr. A. Christy Ruban, Minister of the High Commission, was also present at the meeting. The High Commissioner expressed his appreciation for Mr. Akram’s significant contributions to promoting the concept of a community with a shared future and enhancing research and people-to-people connectivity between Sri Lanka and Pakistan. He also acknowledged Mr. Akram’s past contributions to the High Commission’s activities in promoting Sri Lanka.
Mr. Khalid Taimur Akram presented his book, Building a Community with Shared Future: A Hope for Mankind, to High Commissioner Wijegunaratne, who remarked on the book’s valuable insights regarding the Belt and Road Initiative and regional connectivity.
